Raine Stockton is just a small town girl from the mountains of North Carolina with money problems, men problems, and dog problems.  She does the best she can to balance her full-time boarding kennel and dog-training business, her part time forest-service job, and her volunteer therapy dog and wilderness search-and-rescue work while trying to keep her mischeivous Golden Retriever, Cisco-- not to mention the rest of her canine crew-- under control.  It would be a lot easier if she didn't keep getting distracted by murder...

Dogs, as they say, will be dogs.  But these guys will leave their pawprints all over your heart.

Donna, I've been waiting for your new book. I have my own Service Dog and want to write a mystery based on the dogs I know and their owners. I'm oringinally from the Yukon and now on Vancouver Island. Your an inspiration.

Thanks, Jammy! SILENT NIGHT will be out Thanksgiving week. As you may know I used to raise service dogs and got to keep Glitter when she (accidentally on purpose) failed her service dog test. You can read more on www.dogdazejournal.blogspot.com. If you send me a photo of your dog I'll post it on the Guest Dogs page!

Love this series. The characters, including the two footed ones touch me and the plots intrigue me. What more can I ask from a good book. Thanks.

Delighted to see you have a new one coming out this summer. Can't wait! We both have summer releases. Mine comes out June 7. My publisher will also be re-releasing the first mystery in my series with the lovely quote you gave it - so thanks again for that. I look forward to getting reacquainted with Raine Stockton.

BTW, I noticed a misprint on your sample for Land of the Free, where Miles's ex-wife is described as "ex-husband". You don't want readers thinking Raine's romantic interest is gay!

Donna Ball said...

Fixed, Eileen! Thanks for that:) Look for LAND OF THE FREE in November 2016;I look forward to your new release this summer.

Hi Donna! I absolutely love the Raine Stockton series. I couldn't stop. I adore the characters. Donna Postel is magnificent please don't ever use another narrator. She brings them to life. I'm on the last book on Audible. I'm afraid of Raine and Ciscoe withdrawal. What's next for them. Love your writing. Thank you!

I absolutely love the Raine Stockton series and can't wait for the next book. Any idea when to be watching for it? Guess I'll keep listening to my favorites and "good friends". I also love the Flash series. It's wonderful to back Flash as the narrator. I hope you enjoy writing as much as we all enjoy having your rich characters as "family".

We've just listened to the Raine Stockton books they offer on Audible and we're looking forward Deadfall. Just have to know if she marries that man and his daughter! We can't find any information about it being released by Audible and hoping it'll be soon.
